Title: WTB: Socket & Cord for Neutral Signal Indicator
Post by: AuburnGSFan on May 30, 2014, 10:24:37 AM
Hi all.  I finally got around to installing FordHammer's gauge overlays on my 2005 GS500F (K5) bike and I ran in to a some difficulty during the reinstallation. It appears that I that when I was reinstalling the four indicator lights that I accidentally damaged the socket for the T10 bulb for the neutral gear indicator.  The neutral light worked fine prior to my re installation and I swapped bulbs with a known working bulb (oil indicator, which worked) and still a no go.  Looks like I damaged the socket.

I wondered if anyone simply had a left over spare socket assembly (Suzuki part #34170-01DCO)  that they could just cut the end of any one of the sockets that I could purchase? Otherwise I'll end up paying the $27.48 and cannibalizing it.

Additionally, I also goofed up the tachometer as well as it now reads '0' when idling, although it does (correctly?) indicate additional RPM's above idle, so I guess I could always just add 1,200 RPM's to the reading.  Still, if any one had a spare (electric) one to sell, I certainly would consider that as well, although there seems to be a ton of them available on EBay.

All in all the neutral light bugs me a lot more and if of primary interest.

Thanks in advance.
