Title: Right side cover leak gasket, removing philips screws from whatever it's called
Post by: Watevaman on May 30, 2014, 07:19:09 PM
Sitting here trying to fix my right side crankcase cover oil leak, thought it would be an easy job, but stupid engineers decide to use philips screws everywhere. Anyone have any advice for getting these two philips screws out of the ignition rotor (is that what this is?) before I strip them to hell and back? Tried both a philips and flathead along with a pair of vice grips and they're just eating it up.

EDIT: got them, but man are they tore up. this is a crock of shaZam!

I'd guess they are JIS screws, not exactly phillips. An impact driver usually takes care of them pretty easily.
