Just completed a nasty 6 hour ride in constant rain. My engine quit 3 times at a stop sign and bogged down a couple times like it was running out of gas. Can water get in the air filter? Never had it happen, but never been in those conditions. If so, will the k&n do better when wet? It's an 05, everything stock.
Could be air filter... Though constant air flow through it would tend to keep it a little dry? ... Plus it's tucked in so well...
Could be moisture around the spark plugs/leads ... If the rubber boot on the end of the plug cap is worn/perished and a little moisture got in there it would also exhibit similar symptoms... Only takes a tiny mist of moisture in that area to cause running problems... ?

+1 on plug wires.
If it was on one of my old Hondas I'd bet the plug caps were full of water again. :icon_razz: But on the GSs I've experienced spark short out on the other end of the plug wire. The plug wires are screwed into the coils and bonded tight in place and you can't turn them with great effort if OK. If you can turn one of them by hand that's your problem. Never had a problem with water in stock intake setup having riden in many monsoon like rains on my GSs but have been nursing a plug wire along for most of 100k miles now.
