Lots of differences between the pre 00 and 01+. The whole tail is pretty different.
04 - all the fairing lugs were welded in.
The oil cooler mount too was added 04+.

No that's not it.... As Buddha said there is lots.... But that's what I could think of at the time  :dunno_black:

Hard to think of something Buddha didn't cover but did remember one.  The rake was changed a half degree from 25.5* to 25.0* for 01 and later frames, a tad closer to sport bike territory.  :icon_lol:

Nikko, you're swapping frames because of a title problem, correct? If that's the case, many of your parts will swap over. If I'm not mistaken, you'll need the late model seat, tank, and tail plastics.

I think you can run an older tank..As there are people that run the newer slightly larger tanks on older GS's
