Title: eBay stators and wet plug
Post by: cWj on June 13, 2014, 06:36:25 AM
Hello, all.

I was getting ready to make a long post about cheap ebay stators since I am having charging problems when something occurred to me - could the bike not be charging correctly because a cylinder is misfiring?

I just changed to Iridium and when I took out the plug on the left cylinder, it was wet. I assumed it was due to the flooding from not getting a good spark from the charging issue.

I need to check again, but it seems like I'm only getting 10v from the stator at idle and only up to 30 revved to 6K.

And as long as I'm here and typing, has anybody had long-term success with one of the $45 eBay stators?

TiA.

Charging should just be related to RPM and the state of Rotor/Stator,not to a state of plugs etc.

10 to 30 V is way too low.

Keep us posted of your advances as my Stator/Rotor is only putting out 65 volts and I am having battery charging problems. Need to charge the battery every couple of weeks to replace what the bike cant.
