Title: Shorty Brake Lever
Post by: TheFableTheFury on June 13, 2014, 02:59:38 PM
Anyone know of a shorty brake lever that works with GS brake perch?

Preferably an inexpensive one.

Brake lever? No problem. Look for one for an sv650. No modification necessary for the brake lever to have tons of options. Clutch is a whole other story.

Yeah I read where you mentioned that somewhere else on here...

So what about just an all new shorty clutch lever and perch?
I have bar ends so the mirror threading is not a requirement.

Any reason this wouldn't' work?  http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/220689524431?lpid=82

And this should be fine for the brake then? http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/251533107422?lpid=82

You're welcome to try anything on your own to see if it works or not. Just because others around here haven't done it doesn't necessarily mean it won't work.

For the universal clutch perches, I'd just be concerned that the clutch cable mounts properly (long enough, no kinks).

If you try any of those you mentioned, be sure to report back and post pics. :thumb:

You want to make sure it won't hit the left bar controls also has to b long enough to compress all the way I've already had that  issue

For the price just get a 89-96? katana clutch perch or sv650. don't know if you got everything sorted as this is kind of an old thred. Some people say you need a different clutch cable as the angel is different. I had no issues using my old one.
