Hello.

Do these make a noticeable diference?

Does the brace also comes with the longer screws? Would it be possible to ship to EU?

Thanks.

Reload is often busy for extended periods so just be patient guys. ... I think the normal process is to pay him by PayPal before he sends. .. you won't get ripped off with non delivery (unless USPS fudges it) or bad product !

Well, I guess you need everyone else to agree too, but that's fine with me.  'Shipped to Canada' is still 'shipped,' as far as pricing goes, right? :P

Title: Re: Heavy Duty Fork Brace
Post by: reload on October 13, 2014, 06:01:40 AM
i guess the price has gone up the last few years for international shipping. it looks like it would be +15 for canada. feel free to double check me on that or find a cheaper alternative. I will gladly adjust.

anyway. i started the order. I should have these next week.  :woohoo:

Title: Re: Heavy Duty Fork Brace

I should able to provide you a US shipping address at WA. Maybe that will work out as well :D

Post by: floatingLomas on October 14, 2014, 12:31:02 PM
gianzilla, my sister lives in Cranbrook; maybe I should just have mine shipped to you and get her to pick it up and bring it home for Christmas. :P

So, reload, how much for both the brace and the frame sliders, shipped, to Canada?
Title: Re: Heavy Duty Fork Brace
Post by: reload on October 14, 2014, 04:08:07 PM
it looks like ~20 on top for canada for both. i have to get an exact weight to know for sure so dont take that as the final cost.
Title: Re: Heavy Duty Fork Brace
Post by: gianzilla on October 14, 2014, 11:12:30 PM
I dont mind to pick it up for you. But im located at Vancouver though.....it seems very far away from Cranbrook.... :icon_neutral:
If it will be $20+ shipping. I will just go pick it up from WA then

Reload, I've tried to PM you but can't because I don't know the right answer to the question "On the back of the GS500 you will see the tail _ _ _ _?" It's not lamp. Everything else has more than 4 letters...
However, I would like to order a fork brace. I have paypal, if that works for you. I am in Massachusetts. Please PM me or tell me the four letters that complete "...tail____."

Hey Tag, I remember the frustration with some of those questions back when I joined the forum - Thankfully it only lasts for the first 5 posts in the open forums, then you don't have to answer trick questions anymore.  I specifically recall someone asking for this same answer almost a year ago (and probably others), and I never heard it from anyone nor the site owner... try lite (misspelling, I know)? or wind? or bulb? or sign? or tire? ... I dunno, I'm reaching here - but it frustrates me too!

Oh, and here is that 'specific recall' I mentioned above. http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=66475.0
and we never found out there either, or in the other thread I asked about it  :technical:  ...

Just got mine a few days ago - the dog sleds took awhile bringing it up here, I guess.  It's so ridiculously thick, I'm pretty sure the universe would bend before this gives way.  Can't wait to install it.

Installed mine yesterday and tried it today! Really happy with the result. It surely toughened up the front a bit (noticed has the front no longer dives the same has i touch the brake lever) and it seems more willing to bend into corners. :thumb:

I kinda forgot the nuts that hold the mud guard and ended up removing the front wheel  >:( (Forgot to try to wiggle my arm up the fender with a small spanner) I had no leverage on my hex key to remove the brake caliper so it required a lot of filing to put the wheel back on.

Now i need a Katana Shock, Stainess steel brake line for the front and some new Tires  :embarassed:

Can't confirm solely on the brace... I did the sonic springs and brace simultaneously. .. the difference is outstanding! ! ... I feel more 'secure' with that nice thick brace there tho... (could be entirely subjective panacea tho!)... never tested the flex or vibrational qualities of the standard one however.

They look the part! :thumb:

Bugger I forgot... also installed stainless chain guard with gs500 logo and nice shiny heel guards also with logo.... some things are there for the bling factor....

Or like when a rider says. ..  "I matte blacked my whole bike to make it meaner"  .. user taste varies

On the top of your front fender there is a steal brace that bridges the forks and connects the fender too. It's a direct swap, the original thin brace for a thicker machine cut one.

Hi reload!

Do you have one available for sale?! This fits all models, correct?
I'm working on my 96 gs500e right now...just did the valves adjustments, replacing clutch next and fixing/replacing parts. Like the fork brace!
