Hello.
Do these make a noticeable diference?
Does the brace also comes with the longer screws? Would it be possible to ship to EU?
Thanks.
I want one
i can ship anywhere usps goes. i believe it was about 20$ extra for europe.

I see. They do look good. They just fit right on right? And about handling differences?
I'll be in for one. Thanks. ( or are these available now ?)
I would be in for one as well!

yeah i provide the hardware too. my piece was all rusted so it did feel more solid when i changed it out but i dont know to what extent. im sure others can chime in on experiences.
I'm in for one, thanks Reload
I would like to get one aswell. The cash is paid upon delivery?
Thanks.
I would like a fork brace too! can you email me details at afreeman1984@gmail.com
Thanks!
is this happening?
I'd take one.
Reload is often busy for extended periods so just be patient guys. ... I think the normal process is to pay him by PayPal before he sends. .. you won't get ripped off with non delivery (unless USPS fudges it) or bad product !
i'm always around :D. Just wanted to get a few more people in on this before i place an order with the shop.
ok I started talking to my machinist about an order. theres less than ten people on the group so i'll see what can be done.
are you guys willing to pay a few dollars more just to get the smaller quantity made?
How many is 'a few?'
im waiting on solid numbers but i would say like 40 shipped, so +5
Well, I guess you need everyone else to agree too, but that's fine with me. 'Shipped to Canada' is still 'shipped,' as far as pricing goes, right? :P
I just joined the board and am seeing this for the first time. If this is current, I want one too!!! :woohoo:
sry, shipped price os continental US :D.

Fine. :P How much to ship to Canada, postal code V0R 2W0?
How much to ship to Canada+1!!
Postal code V1A1S5 :D
i guess the price has gone up the last few years for international shipping. it looks like it would be +15 for canada. feel free to double check me on that or find a cheaper alternative. I will gladly adjust.
anyway. i started the order. I should have these next week. :woohoo:
I should able to provide you a US shipping address at WA. Maybe that will work out as well :D
gianzilla, my sister lives in Cranbrook; maybe I should just have mine shipped to you and get her to pick it up and bring it home for Christmas. :P
So, reload, how much for both the brace and the frame sliders, shipped, to Canada?
it looks like ~20 on top for canada for both. i have to get an exact weight to know for sure so dont take that as the final cost.
I dont mind to pick it up for you. But im located at Vancouver though.....it seems very far away from Cranbrook.... :icon_neutral:
If it will be $20+ shipping. I will just go pick it up from WA then
Google thinks your postal code is in Kimberly, apparently. I'm in Victoria, but I was just joking anyways... :P
Oh snap. I just realized i typed my postal code wrong. I dont mind helping you tho lol
I wonder when will reload start producing these forkbraces.
I'm also interested! Let me know what I need to do to help make this happen.
bump. i have them in hand ready to ship.
I'll pm you whatever info you need. I also want a set of frame sliders.
Reload, I've tried to PM you but can't because I don't know the right answer to the question "On the back of the GS500 you will see the tail _ _ _ _?" It's not lamp. Everything else has more than 4 letters...
However, I would like to order a fork brace. I have paypal, if that works for you. I am in Massachusetts. Please PM me or tell me the four letters that complete "...tail____."
Hey Tag, I remember the frustration with some of those questions back when I joined the forum - Thankfully it only lasts for the first 5 posts in the open forums, then you don't have to answer trick questions anymore. I specifically recall someone asking for this same answer almost a year ago (and probably others), and I never heard it from anyone nor the site owner... try lite (misspelling, I know)? or wind? or bulb? or sign? or tire? ... I dunno, I'm reaching here - but it frustrates me too!
Oh, and here is that 'specific recall' I mentioned above. http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=66475.0
and we never found out there either, or in the other thread I asked about it  :technical: ...

bump. get'em while they're hot.
Reload just sent me mine. I haven't put it on yet, but the holes line up and it looks very stout. This is a nice piece and $35 is a screaming deal. Reload, when are you going to make some rearsets??? :)

thank you tag for the kind words. i did actually think about rearsets...maybe someday
Well, the brace lined up beautifully. My race partner is totally impressed. You know, there are 7 somedays in next week?
Just received the brace....nice kit. Will install in the spring.
glad you guys like. :D
love the brace, putting it on this week as I finish my build, I will have pics posted in my post on the projects page
Just got mine a few days ago - the dog sleds took awhile bringing it up here, I guess. It's so ridiculously thick, I'm pretty sure the universe would bend before this gives way. Can't wait to install it.
hello are there any more left ? I'm in the united kingdom so if still available would you send ???? thanks

Installed mine yesterday and tried it today! Really happy with the result. It surely toughened up the front a bit (noticed has the front no longer dives the same has i touch the brake lever) and it seems more willing to bend into corners. :thumb:
I kinda forgot the nuts that hold the mud guard and ended up removing the front wheel >:( (Forgot to try to wiggle my arm up the fender with a small spanner) I had no leverage on my hex key to remove the brake caliper so it required a lot of filing to put the wheel back on.
Now i need a Katana Shock, Stainess steel brake line for the front and some new Tires :embarassed:

Update: Got my brace and it looks fantastic. It will be a great addition to my new springs and shock. Thanks again for the brace!
Hi
I know it's been a while since this thread was active last, but I'll give it a shot anyhow.
Do you still have ones for sale?
Best regards
Peter
If the OP is no longer selling them, you can get a similar fork brace here:
http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=70056.0
i get them produced in batches. would need like ten or so to get an order going. if people like my flavor of brace let me know and ill start it up.
I know I'm interested, but funds are tight right now, so I'd have to wait. . .
Color me interested.
Looks like I'm #4!
Count me in!
I would like one
That's 5, let's keep them coming! :2guns:

Whoa there, buddy. It's $35, trying to hike up the price for the rest of us? hahaha
Yay! 3 to go! 3 to go!
I want one also :thumb:
Bump for 2 more! :woohoo:
If anyone who's bought one can confirm improvement in handling, count me in to. I haven't seen much in terms of reviews on this thread.
Can't confirm solely on the brace... I did the sonic springs and brace simultaneously. .. the difference is outstanding! ! ... I feel more 'secure' with that nice thick brace there tho... (could be entirely subjective panacea tho!)... never tested the flex or vibrational qualities of the standard one however.
They look the part! :thumb:
Bugger I forgot... also installed stainless chain guard with gs500 logo and nice shiny heel guards also with logo.... some things are there for the bling factor....
Or like when a rider says. .. "I matte blacked my whole bike to make it meaner" .. user taste varies
I registered because I have been scouring the internet for this exact thing, please count me in.
Count me in on this part too!
So.... that's 10. RIght? :whisper:
oh nice. ill get another batch going. ill keep everyone posted. :woohoo:

On the top of your front fender there is a steal brace that bridges the forks and connects the fender too. It's a direct swap, the original thin brace for a thicker machine cut one.
O0
I see that but what is the advantage of this?? Sorry, 1st time and a bit confused.
No rust and more support between the forks! :thumb:
Hey reload, you still have these for sale?
yes i do. pm sent
