Post by: Adam R on February 03, 2004, 01:48:56 AM
This is a silly thread but I'm bored and I just uploaded some pics to a free image hosting site, so here goes.

1990 Honda CBR 250R (Bought in March 2000, sold later that year)

1989 Honda CBR 600F aka Hurricane (Bought July 2000, sold June 2002)

1992 Suzuki GS500E (Bought April 2002 for girlfriend, sold August 2002)

1991 Suzuki GS500E (Bought March 2003, still have it)
 When I bought it - (http://img16.photobucket.com/albums/v47/adamr/dsc_120.jpg)

 As of Fall 2003 - (http://home.earthlink.net/~jamesvogl/gs500/111503_malibu/IMG_1395.jpg)

Its obvious that you painted the tank. What about the engine? In the lower pic it looks dull. Did you sand it or repaint it. Last month I powdered my frame semi gloss black. It is a bit flater than the engine, and I am thinking of sanding the engine paint off OR just enough to give it a flat look. Any suggestions? The tank and plastics will be silver like an SV, and my swing arm and forks are original grey/silver....Thanks for any replys.

1990 CBR250R?  I don't remember that one being sold in the states.  Was that a grey market import?  BTW, nice avatar.  However, you might get a request to take it down.  Some of us log on at work, and that cute tushie isn't politically correct.  :( However, since the Jackson thing, the standards might have changed.

The CBR 250 would be a grey-market bike.  I was in Chile at the time, and that's where I bought it.

As for the avatar, yeah if someone doesn't find it work-safe I'll switch it.  I love that picture though, especially in its larger form.  What does she look like from the front?  ....  we'll never know!

Haha, that's certainly possible.  But what I don't know can't hurt me, right?

Briggs, I didn't do anything to the paint on the motor, but the sun did.  My bike sat in the Arizona desert for maybe 5 years and thats why I repainted it.
I think you're color ideas are good and keep us posted on your painting endeavor.

Looks like I lost the avatar.  Oh well. That was fun while it lasted.

/\----If the bouncing jugs I had for 2 weeks werent shut down for that long, I think your avatar is safe. And besides, now I had a racoon/wolf with extremely obtrusive testicals harrasing a small japanese girl.
