Title: HELP No power?
Post by: GeeEssFive on June 26, 2014, 04:36:35 PM
I started my 06 F a few minutes ago and after it warmed I revved it up to 6k, after that I went to do it again and the bike wouldn't rev up, like it had something blocking it, when this happened the tach dropped to where it sits when its off then came back.... it idled fine still and I tried it again and got the same result. I shaZam! the whole thing down and When I went to turn my key back to on, no lights, no nothing. The fuse on the side is fine. What the hell just happened? I just rejetted but this is the third time its run since I did so and I know everythings where it should be.

Battery sounds like it just died..

Do you have a voltmeter you can check the battery with? From experience you can get a marginal idle with no power when you rev if your battery has an internal fault...

FIXED :woohoo:... battery had full power (digital voltmeter), All that was good just no lights when the key was on. Checked the fuse and she came out in 3 pieces no burns just old and poopy. Used the spare and the lights came on and shes running fine. Kuddos on the fast response time guys... kuddos to you.

EDIT: As far as checking the fuse... next time ill check the real one first, not the spare.

You should check to see why it popped..

Always a great feeling when it is something simple

lol yeah, that spare fuse got me first time too mainly because the main fuse compartment is a pain in the ass to open up.
