Post by: CodeRed on July 10, 2014, 12:50:33 PM
Hi all, Ive not long had my license so was hunting for a smallish user friendly bike here in England, I've recently purchased a 2000 GS, fairly clean but high milage, will be doing a few mods to it in the future, any advice and help in the future will be much appreciated!

Nice bike, where in UK are you? I'm north-east England.

What sort of look would you want to go for? And what's your budget? The possibilities are engless with these really.

From Murton, County Durham!  Plans are wider rear wheel, exhaust, riser bars, screen, possibly a tail swap as I think its what lets the bike down styling wise!

Not bad at all, tats 15 mins up the road, I'm from Teesside.
Have a look at my project, rear ends are so easy to work on. What exhaust you after?

Ive fitted a carbon Micron can I had, managed to dent the link pipe while I was on too!

Bars are on too, need to remove the raggy wiring from the heated grips though!

Very nice.  I like the Silver engine with the black cover.  Gives it a nice look.  I wonder how a silver cover will look on my black engine?? May have to try that.
