Title: Help on some part numbers
Post by: islandlaker on July 18, 2014, 01:34:09 PM
I managed to loose a few things. The first of which are the bolts that hold the headlight in place, see picture below of missing bolt. I imagine that I can stick any bolt in there that will fit right? The only thing is I don't have a bunch of bolts laying around to try so if someone has the dimensions of what I need to stick in there that would be great!

Also I changed the bulbs in my instrument cluseter and I lost one of the little black plastic spacers that go between the small bolts (see below) and the individual cluster housing. Anyone know where I can get one of these and what exactly they are called?

Thanks for the help guys! Sorry about the large pics I use tinypic.com who would have thought they would be so huge?

Hello!

I don't know what year is your GS500E, but I here is what I can find on www.bikebandit.com for you under a GS500E 2000:

Headlight Bolt #3 - $2.67: http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/2000-suzuki-gs500e/o/m22351#sch245026
Speedometer - Tachometer Cushion #7 - $4.08: http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/2000-suzuki-gs500e/o/m22351#sch243120

Try finding a local Suzuki dealer and have them order them in for you. It may be cheaper too!

Goodluck!

Edit: Lol! Just notice you are missing a front fender brace bolt too! Not sure if it is #4 or #7 on the diagram.

Thanks for the help! There are no Suzuki dealers in my town so I ended up ordering it off bike bandit. That is one nice site!

That front fender stay should have the speedo cable stay as well, no? Seems to be missing.
