Post by: TheGaginator on August 04, 2014, 07:12:24 PM
Ok so i know that i need the following jets for my mods on my bike. I am looking on the Sudco.com website and trying to find out which jet style i need.

Pilot-20
Mid Main-65
Main-145

on the sudco site, there are alot of jets that all look similar, which ones do i need?

i think i need a VM22/210 pilot

for the main jets and mid main there are large rounds and small rounds... idk which ones i need.

Am I correct in assuming that those jets are only the pilot and the mid? What about the main jet?

Edit: I just discovered that the main jet is a 2 piece thing, so thats why I was confused about the pictures.
Another edit: Concerning the mid main, that is the same fitment as the main?
Thanks.

ok so since the gs500f has a main and MID main, i need 2 main jets per carb right?

i want to jet my bike as follows:

Pilot 20
Mid main 65
Main 145

so i need to buy-
(2) pilot 20 jets
(2) main 65 jets
(2) main 145 jets

is that correct?

Long before computers or the internet, I would go to a motorcycle dealer and get jets over the counter from the parts dept, I see no reason for that to have come to an end?

Slip on and pods are 20/147.5 with a 65 mid optional, 1 O ring under the needle and 3 turns on the air screws.
Now I have these tha tI sell. The kit with these is $25 shipped in US. Also includes stainless allen head bolts for the bowls so you can take em off with out taking carbs off the bike.
Cool.

Yea 4 jets - that 2 20's and 2 147.5's ... 65's are optional - as in - if you need em you ahve to ask and order em ... they cost $8 for the pair.
Anyway this is only for gstwinners to have the correct parts. I've seen horror cases, new jets in old carbs, old jets in new carbs, pilots with holes on the sides in the old carbs and all sorts of headaches.

Cool.

Took it to a shop, they worked on it for 2 months, said I needed to replace the carbs entirely.

Anyone have the dimensions for the #4 washers?
