Oops... That may have been an expensive mistake. I just bought this as a replacement carb, hopefully its salvageable or sell able . Am i totally screwed? Are the carbs garbage now?
I was doing so well :( I can take the carbs out of the bike blind folded now, but ugh.
I kept drilling and checking till I hit something, but I never hit anything, it just kept going untill all the brass came out. Never found a screw or anything.

If you drilled out the threads for the pilot screw, time for new carb bodies.............

How big a drill bit were you using ?
I think you may have destroyed the screw but still ahve the threads in the carb casting ...

BIG lol. I matched it to the size of the brass cover. It was 3am and I should have stopped working well before 12 :)There are no longer threads. Ive pretty much resigned it to spare parts.
Lack of sleep is hard on the wallet, haha I guess not so much in my case. I work over night so most of my work on the GS occurs on saturday morning (the end of my week) so usually it gos like this. Wake up Frday night usually 5-6PM Get to work at 10PM work until 8AM, get home at 9am, work/ride the GS until god knows when and get to seep at 10pm.
I cant tell you how may times I struggled with some thing little or easy after being up for over 24 hours, it happens.
