Title: lost bar end nut in handlebar
Post by: jdavids1 on August 09, 2014, 05:02:07 PM
Hello

Today I was replacing the grips on my gs but I backed the screw out too much and lost the nut in the bar.

Any thoughts on how to get it out? I tried tipping the bike but it wouldn't come out. I put another nut on there in the meantime.

Also the rubber bushings are getting old, anyone know where I can get replacements?

Thanks

James

I had that happened to me once.

I tried using a coat hanger with a magnet on it to pull it out, but the wire didn't go thru the bended part of the handle bar very well.

I just ended up removing the handlebar clamps and tilt the handlebar to slide the nut/bolt out.
