only thing i would check is. and i don't know sod all about the aussie market bikes.. i do know that the US spec bikes had quite different carb set up from the UK/EU market GS500.. all to do with US emissions law. if i remember correctly they had a extra jet in there somewhere.. and extra tubing for air etc (the US guys can clarify this and probably explain it better!) it may depend on what year/model of GS you have. but a rul of thumb is the later the bike the more they had emissions crap added to them. the later ones produced a fair bit lower HP compared to the early bikes.. not that 46hp was a lot to start with.
I don't know what spec you got in Aus compared to here in the UK, or compared to the US.. but since that kit is sold by a US company its safe to say its probably targeted more towards there market bikes.. id look into either a Dynojet kit.. or just order the jets etc from a carb specialist.. I'm unsure how good these jets will be compared to the proper mikuni jet's.. keep us informed as i want to fit a K&N lunchbox, a stainless stubby delkevic exhaust (good for a extra couple hp on its own) and reject as required.. preferably with mikuni jets and clean up the ports of the head.

Yea dont rejet with a dynojet kit or any kit for that matter, keep your stock needles and just buy mikuni oem jets and #2 washers. The only model differences in the carbs are the earlier carbs only have 2 jets, a pilot and a main... the later bikes have 3 jets, a pilot, midrange, and main and it is for more even power delivery not really emissions. Now there are differences in the carbs for emissions equipment on some bikes, but it isn't the jets that change. Basically regardless of where your bike is from it either is a 2 jet model or a 3 jet model. All the details are on the wiki how to page.
I bought sigma Jet kit for my skorpion.
There are freaking drill bits ... and when I called em saying why should I drill out my jets, couldn't they provide jets instead of drill bits ... they say - no jets are not available ... WTF ... I am going to drill jets that you cant replace ... nice try fools -
Anyway They may have jets ... or give you drills ... GS jets are easily available ... however so are the skorpions jets, you just have to buy them as yamaha xt600 ...
Waste of $50 for the skorp ...
And GS jets - I got em, I'll send to australia no problem, $7 shipping - as opposed to $2 inside US. So a $25 kit inside US is $30 to anywhere else in the world ...
Cool.
Buddha.
The buddha is our jet master here in the states. I would buy my jets from local suzi dealer. But tbh seems buddha would be quicker
