Title: LED lighting upgrade
Post by: LocalGuyLawnCare on September 01, 2014, 04:25:17 PM
ok I recently updated my turn signals and brake light to LED. The problem Im having is they blink really fast and sometimes just stay on. I think I have to put resistors in line so this will act right. Does anyone know what size resistors I'm going to have to use? And Ive did a little research on electronic controlled flashers, do they make these for bikes? or would I have to customize that as well?

Also I bought these lights from Orally auto parts for 6 bucks each, then had to get a grommet to cover the hole behind the turn signals. all in all got a total of $20 bucks doing this. Makes the bike look really good instead of having those huge lights hanging off the sides. And they are 5 times brighter then the originals

They do make them for bikes, any 2 pin LED compatible flasher can should be fine. do a search on ebay for some. I'm sat looking at the one i ordered as i type.. it dropped through the post this morning. cost like $5.50 (£2.99 in real money lol)

There is loads of threads on the forum here about fitting LED's.. I'm in middle of converting all my lights except headlights to LED. if you go this route.. you need to modify a section in the warning lights with a couple of dirt cheap diodes. use the search function.. it is your friend.
