An alternative to the R6R rear shock. Two years ago, I mounted the R6R rear shock, but the tail in my GS descended. For this reason, some times the tail hit the mud guard.
I tried making new holes in the dog bones (10mm center to center), with the hope to rise the tail, but was too much (3 inches approx).
So, I searched for a largest shock than the R6R shock, I have photos showing the identical measurements in the mounting holes, and the same distance to the mounting brackets.
I had success with a very few issues.
The S1000RR rear shock is longer than R6R shock (1 inch). Just one little cut in the lever bracket and is all.
The test ride need wait until tomorrow; at the end of shock swap, a extreme rain does not let me ride.... :dunno_black:
