Title: Intro & Hi
Post by: Jeffre on September 12, 2014, 05:57:03 PM
Hi All

I have just joined and wanted to say hi to all and to introduce myself.
I live on the Gold Coast Australia and have been riding for the last 18 years. I have just brought a 2004 GS500f for my wife we want to do some trips together and the CB250 scares me on the highway.
We got a good deal but will be working on her for the next two weekends to get her road worthy. I will post some before and after pics.

Cheers

Jeffre

A CB250? Is that the smaller version of the CB350? We didn't get that here in the US.

And welcome to the site!

Hi

Yea I believe it is, they are like the standard first bike around here for years. Hit it with a sledge hammer and it smiles at ya and says ohh you love me.

I have attached some photos (I hope) of the GS before I started on it. So far I have replaced plugs, oil filter, oil seal on the shifter and front brake pads. Had my local mechanic replace the seals on the front forks. Degreased 14 cans latter, started sanding the side fairings and rear fairings. Waiting on next pay from install just done and will order new chain and sprocket kit.

I am also looking at the best deal I can get for new turn indicators and brake leaver as they need replacing. I have organised a new front fairing from Kessener for $250 and I hope to get that for this coming weekend. I am also trying to find replacement stickers for the fairing, once all that is done new tyres and road worthy.

All and all I cant wait for Paula to have her first ride on her GS50F

Cheers

Jeffre
