I was in need of a repair manual so I downloaded a PDF of one, and I've been using it on my phone. It has been helpful enough, but would be much prefer if I had a physical copy. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me which manual it might be? I think it might be a Clymer but I'm not sure.

The one there is the Suzuki OEM workshop manual. i have both the haynes and a Suzuki oem one.. i got them as PDF's.. bought a couple of reams of paper, and a £10 laser jet off my local Gumtree site with a brand new spare toner cart.. duplex printed both off into a ring binder. sorted for under the price of the haynes alone.. even on offer :D same setup also got me copies of around 5 diff manuals for my other bikes as well. so a bargain. Naughty i know but some of them are out of print and the manufacturer out of business (poor old MZ)

No i don't have a link to it, i downloaded it some time ago. if you send me a private message with an email address i can email you a copy as an attachment.
With OEM Suzuki shop manuals you have to be careful about copyright infringement. I think the moderators of this group frown on downloading and sending copies of OEM manual! Even though they show up occasionally on the internet...I believe there are some legal issues!
You're supposed to buy the after market manual through this site...

The OP's link is for the 89-99 Suzuki Shop Manual which I downloaded from the carlsalter site years ago and have used for reference many times. Bought a Clymer manual for my 97 GS and another for my 02 GS and found the 02 copy really has not been updated much beyond changing the cover but any of them can be quite helpful and they are more aimed at the novice mc mechanic with more description where the shop manual has much briefer descriptions aimed at their service mechanics.
This site gets a little monetary benefit from ordering either the Clymer or the Haynes manuals from Amazon using the links which appear near the top of first forum page. John the site owner frowns upon linking other manuals on the forum. Some think the Haynes is better than the Clymers but I am not familiar with it myself never having opened a copy.

the manuals ARE helpful..... but i find the clymer manual to be lacking a number of things that i had to come to the forums to ask about.

I recently bought a Haynes GS500 '89-'09 manual, hardcover for $30-something on Amazon - the manual is pretty good and I'm sure it will pay itself off very quickly. It even has a GS500 history section - pretty awesome. Personally, I prefer to have a physical book - just browsing through the pages makes you more aware of your bike and sure is better than whatever's on TV nowadays.
