I think it's OK, but it still doesn't seem to like cool weather. I think it works, but needs to be on the tender frequently (nightly?) when temps head farther south than 60F. I've suffered a few starting problems since it's gotten cooler including one dead battery two weeks ago.
Question: is a 1700-1800 idle acceptable?
That idle's a bit high, but acceptable I think, just take care not to overheat.
Needing a tender anywhere beyond freezing temps is, on the other hand, not acceptable (if you do ride sometimes). Could you request another battery where you bought this one, or is it too late?
I didn't have a good experience with the Bike Master AGM. Didn't last me a season, when I began having starting issues (also completely dead a few times and didn't even try to start) and it was still hot weather so cold wasn't a factor. I was able to get some reimbursement, and ended up going with a Motobatt. Haven't had an issue so far and I've had it for almost a year now.

Update - I finally got around to load testing the BM AGM. It failed so a warranty return was in order.
I can't say much for that model, but Bike Master customer service was quite responsive. When I asked if I could a credit toward a Tru Gel model, I was told no - but that the warranty supervisor approved sending a TuGel as a straight replacement. Not only did they send a replacement without waiting to get the original back first, the TruGel arrived the next day after said they'd send it (from TX to NY)!
So, I can't say much for the Platinum AGM II, but the BM customer service department seems to be on it. We'll see how the TruGel works out...
Have you considered the Scorpion AGM Battery? A lot of us on GStwins have them and love them. I can't sing enough praise about it.

Sent BM AGM directly to Bikemaster for warranty replacement. I asked if I could have a TruGel instead of another AGM if I paid for the difference. They said "we can't do that", but made a "special request" to send me the a TruGel as a direct replacement - which was done (yay).
That was about November of last year, by which point my bike was disassembled. The TruGel arrived and was charged periodically up to January. It was kept inside until this June (6 months) without charging. I had it charged up by AutoZone, installed it and it's been strong ever sense.
For record, the "AGM" model is just a sealed conventional and the TruGel model appears to be an actual glass mat battery.
