Title: Petcock Question (s)
Post by: Alan_nc on September 29, 2014, 12:53:27 PM
I have read the write ups on the Pringle petcock change.

My question:  Is there a petcock that is a direct "bolt in" to our GS tanks and has the 'twist knob' (on, off, reserve) right there at the gas tank?

Since most of the manufacturers use parts on several bikes it would seem like there should be a petcock that would replace the "dual" system with the vacuum lines and the two different parts.

What does the Katana ,Savage,  GSXR  or Burgman use?

I'm getting the fuel starvation problem and really would like to get rid of the whole fuel delivery mess.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks....I'll look further into that.

I looked at the Savage petcock.  Does anyone have one on the bench so they can measure the cl (centerline) to cl of the bolt holes.  If it is the same as the GS I will buy one and try it.  If it won't clear the frame I think you might be able to mount it backwards and have it clear the frame.
