Title: AdidasGuy's Clutch Lever
Post by: lynx124 on October 03, 2014, 11:01:05 PM
Hey everyone,

I've doing some item searching to start some things up for my bike and came across the exact color/clutch lever I was looking to put on my GS. I saw it while watching the following AdidasGuy (may he rest in peace ) video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-yM57FL99U (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-yM57FL99U)

At the 8:43 mark, on his blue 2007 GS500F, there is a metallic blue clutch lever. That's what I need...only problem is he does not mention it in any where I can find it. Can someone plz shed some light on where he got that / how he made it?

Thanks in advance!

Not that this helps, but I do remember he dropped allot of coin for it, IIRC...at the time I figured adjusting cable play was much cheaper.

Huh...thanks, maybe I'll just take mine apart and paint it or something...only problem is that since it such a high contact point on the bike I need to find something durable...

Maybe they were LSL levers? I remember seeing posts about him buying some, plus they're like the only clutch lever that is a direct fit (if im not mistaken), and theyre expensive.

Yeah, AdidasGuy pampered his babies.  $$ but very nice.

its the name of the company that makes the levers. german I believe. there were some other levers that he had as well, I think they were ASV or HSV or something like that, but with those you had to buy them for the SV650 and then swap the clutch perch.

Ah Ty, I'm assuming the brake lever also needs a new mount from the SV?

nah. there's tons of options for brake levers, plus they came adjustable from the factory on the older bikes. there's a list of cimpatible brake levers somewhere, I know for sure it comes out in the video for removing/changing brake levers.

the clutch lever, rhats where the oprions are very limited.

Yeah adidasguy put LSL levers on his bike. He wasn't a fan of modding anything far from stock. If he did, it would be a better version that fit the same as stock. That's LSL.

He did at one point mess with ASV levers as I recall, and noted what had to be done for the clutch lever... But switched to LSL for his stock fitment/direct swap preferences.

Edit: Come to think of it... He put ASV levers on most his bikes first and did the perch swap for the clutch on Suzi (the bike in the vid) I believe. I think he may have put LSL levers on Junior and the Husky bikes because he wanted stock configurations on those for show.
