Title: WTB: engine crash guards
Post by: GS500Schultz on November 07, 2014, 07:56:28 AM
I'm looking to buy a set of engine guards. I Don't really like the frame sliders some one else posted and I don't want to blow $200+ on the set from SW-motech.

Just seeing if anyone has some slightly used ones they don't need/want anymore.

I have a pair of the suzuki ones, the somewhat ugly ones. they're a little banged up, but I don't need em. I don't have the bolts though. I can email pictures.

I've always wondered......would crash bars from a GS450 work on a GS500? I know the bottom ends are almost exactly the same (so the mounting points would be good), but if the frame / exhaust would make a difference.

I bring it up because GS450 bars are on eBay pretty regularly, and cheap.
