The gas tank on my sons 1992 Gs 500 is leaking due to rust. I am looking to replace the tank. What year GS parts bike can I grab a tank off of to be considered a stock fit?

89-2000 are the exact ame tank.
01+ tanks will fit and bolt in, and fuel lines etc are all perfect etc etc but they dont have the receiver grommets for the side covers.
You can make something up to carry those grommets quite easy - there is posts about what to fab up from ben to go and some others.
