Title: Hmmmm, a bit of a quandry lol. ebay, craigslist or?
Post by: yamahonkawazuki on December 15, 2014, 12:28:23 AM
Ive got a chandler&price 10x15 craftsman letter press in like new condition. Pre 1900. Thinking 1880s era. Has the twisted. Spoke flywheel. Has a dc motor as well. Contemplating selling this for my father. Been in basement since late 60s when house addition doubled its size. Which helped keep press in like new condition. Should i ebay it, or cl? There was one on etsy. Seller was aiming high imho @$6500.
Anyhoo heres one pic. Sorry for giant size. Will obtain better pics tomorrow, and resize as well.(http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u360/gstwin/1215140135a_zps65cb3236.jpg)

You will make more money off of it and have a better chance selling it on Ebay (you reach a lot bigger audience)....but you are going to have to figure out how to ship it.

yeah that would be the mother of logistics. 1 getting it out of basement, 2 to freight terminal. Would have to be shipped freight collect more than likely

Ship it? No. . I would suggest that your likely buyer will be an aficionado of such presses. .. and know how best to safely dismantle and transport it! ... that is way too much weight to simply muscle it up out of there!

They will buy it because they know they can move it without destroying it/losing their $ value!

Might take longer to sell to a 'collector' ... but you want it going to a good home yeah?
