Congrats! Most scary-looking chain you can afford. Make sure it doesn't touch the ground while in use. See why:

WOW....there really are different parts of the world.

I just get off my bike and go where I'm going .....usually just leave the keys in the ignition.

Congratulations on passing! I can't say anything about security chains though... I usually just lock the bike in first gear and leave it where lots of people and cameras are present at all times.

I don't have a garage at present so the bike will be outside in a driveway with bike cover over it I have went to local council for rent a garage I am on waiting list ! hence why I need chain !

I always forget my keys in the ignition and come back out hours later and the bike is still there. I've only had my bike knocked over once and that was years ago from some lady who decided she wanted to put her kid on my bike.

I came running out and yelling at her and she kicked my bike over

I live in Aberdeen, Scotland there is a lot of young kids out to steal bikes cause they got nothing better to do cause our government pays too much in foreign aid rather than sorting out its own country first this is nothing personal just a fact !

P.S if there was a lot more free activities out in the low income areas there wouldn't be much stealing... that's just my thoughts!

Government paying too much in foreign aid?  I wonder what that must be like...

congrats on your license, apparently it actually means something over THERE, and worth being good to get. here, not so much :(

don't worry about the chain. just the cover is plenty good, and if you put a huge cable or chain through the wheel it will look good enough. if they're determined to steal your bike, it won't matter if it's locked or not really. carry good insurance and don't worry about it.

Its  "Thatcham approved" so.....yes it is :thumb:

But here is my tip........Get another one. Put one through the front wheel, the other around something that does not move and through the rear wheel and the swingarm.

The old GS5 is not high on the average uk bike thief's wish list but that doesn't stop the mindless scrotes who will take it for takings sake, then leave it a ditch and torch it. You have to make it as hard as possible to move.
