Title: WTB: Intake cam and tappet/bucket, possibly a cylinder head
Post by: SmithvilleFlats on January 02, 2015, 02:21:12 PM
Like the title says, I need a cam and tappet/bucket for the intake side.
I am also considering replacing the head casing assembly if anybody has one.
I would also consider buying the whole head/cam/valve assembly if that's what you have.

Help a brother out!
Let me know what you got.
Thanks

*edit*
Cams and buckets on order.
Still looking for cylinder head off an earlier, cable-driven tachometer model.

amkluttz should have the cams off his bike. - look at his part out thread.

I already bought the head from him though, mine was busted..

I have the valve buckets.. I don't know what ones came from the exhaust or intake though. lol

I have a head, 2 good (maybe 3 buckets), good exhaust cam, bent valves,

intake cam chewed inside of a bucket after it broke a valve shim, peices of the shim caught between the cam chain and crank gear and broke the chain so the exhaust valves are bent.. intakes might be too.

If you want this stuff for any reason, just say so!

That's exactly what my problem is, although I don't have as much damage as you did.

Looks like the buckets have the same part number for intake and exhaust, so it shouldn't matter.

PM's sent!

Broken shim?  What kind of shim was it?  I had this exact same problem which caused the demise of my bike and eventual part-out.  I, and The_Paragon, had K&L Shims.  I have been working with Anthony at K&L over the last couple of months on an insurance claim on my ruined motor.  If it was K&L it might be worth a shot but be ready to be patient.

Yes, I have a broken shim that I'm fishing the pieces of out of my engine. I got them from Z1 Enterprises, and the part number starts with "KL", so I would guess they are the same. At the very least it would be worth informing them of the failure.

The part number for 2.60 shims from the K&L catalog 13-7669 so I would imagine they are K&L shims.  I would let Z1 Enterprises know as well as shooting an email over to Anthony at K&L.  The worst that can happen is you waste a little time on some emails.

I did have to send the remainder of my shims in to Anthony and he had to send them to the manufacturer.  K&L is the name brand supplier but they buy them from somewhere else and he is having to go through a claims process with them.  I think the company name is CRP because I had to fill out their claim form.

I placed my claim back in October with K&L and I just got another email from Anthony yesterday saying he is still awaiting a status.  The more people that complain and go through the claims process I hope the easier it will be for them to do something about it.

Man, that is easy. We just send Kim Kardashiat there, and he'll get VD.
That should settle it. Who cares where he is.
