Title: A concern i have
Post by: yamahonkawazuki on January 06, 2015, 01:21:01 AM
Been dealing with a major ear ache for the last few days. Got a feeling it might be moving toward the mastoid region. The bone/area immediately behind my ear. Kinda don't want infection there lol. Problem is i made an appointment with my surgeon/ent doc on the 22nd. Could not get an earlier appointment. If i can find another ent doc, i can get in sooner. Will have to use my net money to cover the co-pay. Plenty of ent docs around here. I can get in easily. I.e. call my gp, get referral sent. Most docs wont work on another surgeon's work, but, it gets dangerous if the infection moves  into the Mastoid region, could get dangerous. Which is why im concerned. My ears and my eyes are the only things i have left working 100% lol. This stabbing pain in and behind my ear, am trying to take care of @ home until ii find another ear doc. May go to ER. Another ear doc will know about doctor rosenbaums work when they examine the problem. But ive no choice. .  if i ignore it, it could get lethal. Anyhoo, may be offline for a week or two if i find an ent doc who will work on this.. If i cant find one willing, ill hit ER. I hate bad ear infections. I t screws with everything lol  :embarassed:

Go to E.R. - If it's an infection which it sounds like a four day course of amoxycillin or similar antibiotic should sort it. My daughter works in a walk-in minor injuries and ailments centre and sees a lot of such cases.
