Title: Size for Fuel lines?
Post by: Rick805GS on January 20, 2015, 11:31:05 PM
okay, so i need new fuel lines because the one that were on my bike were beginning to get dry rot. I couldn't figure out the size of the hose, so i went to NAPA and put the 5/16 7.9mm Fuel lines which fit on the fuel chicken, and tank. the only bad thing is that they are reinforced and can't put the clamp around them because they are way too thick. Bike Bandit has the hoses but sells them plain and Reinforced? i believe that the hoses are smaller because they are for motorcycles, compared those to cars fuel lines. I am just a little confuse between reinforced and plain. what is the difference? or is reinforce the same thickness as the one in auto shops.

you can use mini pipe clamps. just don't tighten them down all the way, if it ain't leaking. its tight enough!
