I thought I'd try here for maybe some input. Has anybody tried these helmets? and or does anybody know the weight and the dimensions of any of these helmets? I cant find the icon weight any where and it says the bell is 1500 grams b
I have an Airmada Rubitone. Its a light helmet, and very well-ventilated. It does very well not fogging up, too. It is, however, the loudest helmet I own with regard to wind noise, even at medium (35-55mph) speeds.
If you normally wear earplugs, it could be a good fit for you. I don't have a Bell.

I have no experience with Icon. I tried the Qualifier, but the sizing was small and the liner wasn't comfortable at all. It also didn't feel like it offered much protection. I believe it can use Bell's photochromic shield, however.
You can usually find deals on Scorpion EXO 500's and 700's in that price range.

I can vouch for the Alliance, and I would have bought it again if the Airmada hadn't been on sale right next to it. It ventilates decently (I live in Florida and riding visor down was "alright" at 90-95 degrees. In the cold (40s) it seals up very well. Pretty quiet overall, not the best, but I never felt a need for ear plugs even at 90mph consistently. And the most important part here, that pic shows my Alliance after my wreck. Stayed together well, and protected me very well. Had concussionlike symptoms for about 6 hours then all was well. I went down doing about 55mph head first.
Long story, the Alliance is a great helmet in the price range. As long as it fits, I'd suggest it to you
I just bought this Bell RS1. It's on sale if they have your size. They have other patterns in the RS1 family if this style is not for you.

I like the fit and finish very much. At 80 it has some wind, but no need for ear plugs.
It is vastly superior to my old hat, Vega something about $100.
