Well long story short i bought a used 1993 gs500 tuned it up, put a full vance&hines and also a lunchbox then I replace jets with 40/150/ 1 washer and 3 turns (budahs recomends)....For 2 days it ran great(little bobby at 4k cruising) but other than that snappy and pretty quick. Well the 3rd day i start her up, hop on and have like half the power, rpms dont want to go up high, so i park it and im like maybe floats stuck. Nope. I look more and find oil coming out of one of my headers(no its not gas mixed with carbon its oil) so what do you think piston rings or top end? help thanks

hmmm.. I wouldn't wanna jump straight to pistons, here's why.
the GS burns oil, because it gets past the rings, and for other reasons of it being an OIL/AIR cooled engine. so naturally there's gonna be "some" blow by.
first I'd check if you had spark. too me it kinda looks thinner then oil? that maybe that cylinder isn't firing and causing gas/oil to just mix up and scoot its way past the headers.
He has a point! .. half the power, maybe no spark. .. half the cylinders!
One cylinder down, could be the jets or spark.
if you need to ride your bike to a dealer, I had the same problem before as well,
you can just ride it in lower gear, higher rpm.
for some reason riding it at 4k rpm, it probably won't take you past 40mph.
at 8k rpm you could still ride with traffic to your dealer, or fix it yourself....
Btw: that yellow bolt looks like it's molten hot...lol :icon_lol:
What happened with this?
