I need to replace the small bulb beneath the main headlight bulb on the F model. Can anyone tell me the specs on this bulb? I removed it and will take it with me to auto zone, but the stamping has rubbed off and I can't tell the wattage. Haynes manual say 4 watts but says "UK only." No listed wattage for US models. 4 watts seems pretty low too. Any help appreciated.
I use these, anything similar should do!

Owners manuals says 12v 5 watt...
Don't take it to Auto Zone (my competitor)...go to Advance Auto...
OK either one can match it...5 watt and same base style.etc

Here's some talk form adidas guy...Maybe put in an LED?
Update: I put in WLED-WHP5 and looks bright and white. Says non-polarized but it was.
WLED-x6 also worked just fine.

OK. Now I see.
The parts list only says 12v 5 watts.
I did the logical thing and took it out of my bike to look at it. Nothing more than a common variety T10 wedge type landscape light. WLED-x6 also worked.

Something like one of these would work:
WLED Miniature Wedge Base bulbs with High Power SMD LEDs
T3-1/4 (#194/168) type bulbs with High Power SMD. Wide Angle LEDs up to 120 degrees. 12 Volt DC operation.
I got some of the WLED-xLX in and they are bright. Non-polarized so doesn't make any difference which way you put it in.
Others also would work, but if polarized you need to insert it the right way.
