Title: The best GS eBay description
Post by: baronduff on March 23, 2015, 07:11:17 AM
Just came across this wreck on eBay and had a bit of a laugh at the description, thought one or two of you might enjoy it too!

Please note this auction has nothing to do with me and strongly advise AGAINST buying this lovely little GS! (Although if someone could bring it back to life, they'd probably be found here!)

Its on a G plate so it first hit the road sometime between 1/8/89 and 31/7/90 and one of the first ones in the UK so in a way its something special  :thumb: but without a v5 which proves ownership and registration its a big gamble. It could in the past have been stolen, cloned, ringed  or written off.

Best thing to do with that is stick it in shed/garage for another 25 years and hope by then the GS5 has become a desirable classic that someone thinks is worth restoring because right now all its worth is its weight in scrap!!

In NY someone slap on some rim tape, and LEDs, and list it on Craigslist for $1000.  With the following keywords: Streetfighter, Cafe Racer, Flat tracker, supermoto - no low ballers!

Hmmmm that gives me an idea! ... if tyres define the bike...
Buy a cheapo cruiser, put those fatty Harley tyres on and sell it for a premium!
