What's the story here?

Are these stock jets?

Have you replaced them with something else for your pipe and airbox and you're finding out the jets you chose are too rich?

Bought it off a mate, but it was running that rich that it wouldnt start, got around it with the pipe and filter, cant see anything obviously wrong (nothing wrong rom looking at it, but as far as i know the jets are stock as well) just wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar or if there was anything to look for

Stock jets, open pipe AND open air filter and it's still that rich? Something isn't adding up.

It's either the jets, or some other problem. Somebody else would have to chime in on that.

You'll need to open up the carbs and look at the jetting. I'd bet it's running stock jets and is lean - not rich. And what kind of filter is on the carbs? Those cheap EMGO filters can actually strangle airflow to the carbs.

Quick and dirty way to verify air/fuel mixture is to check your spark plugs. Take them out and inspect them. If they're white on the end, you're running lean. If they're black with soot and fouled up, you're too  rich.

Is it running rich or lean? Conflicting stuff,  :dunno_white:

I know its confusing but its running rich. Thats with the addition of the pipe and filter
