Yeah, engines are a huge overall portion of the bike... at least a location on the engine where the spill was, minimum.

The tank drain plug was pouring gas out and then I capped it and now bike won't start but it ran for a year capped? Gas went into clutch case amd top of engine

How does the tank look inside? Why did the drain pipe start to leak? Rust?

I don't know. Somebody else will have to pitch in. I can't make a guess off the given information.

You say INTO the top of the engine? Or just on top of the tappet cover and it ran off? Did you have the engine disassembled in any way? Any covers removed etc?

If so, and fuel got into your cynlinders, well... you'll have to be more specific. What were you doing, exactly?

Yea, this is utterly confusing. What do you mean by the "tank drain plug"? The petcock? The float bowl drains? Also if you clutch case filled with gas, what's your oil situation? Did you fill the whole crankcase with gas?

Maybe he attached the drain hose that's suppose to drain the water or extra gasoline from the rim under the gas cap. to under the bike. but instead he attached it to the top of the engine where the breather hose is at??  :icon_eek: :dunno_black:
