I have a '97 GS without sparks. (Starter turns the motor over well but it won't run, no sparks). So I'm starting the test procedures... sigh!
I have ignition coils off an '07 model that I want to use to test by substitution, but these '07 coils have pos and neg terminals marked, whereas the existing coils on the 97 aren't marked for polarity.
How should the primary wires be connected to '07 coils L & R coils, + & - terminals? Is the orange the power wire?

Trial and error may have led you to this conclusion :p Im busy with this scheme just now, for other reasons. And im positive that the Orange wire (or orange/white) should connect to the + terminal. This color wire should be present on sides. On the ignition coil on the right, aswell as on the left. Then on the right you should have a black/yellow wire, wich should terminate at - .
on the left side there should be a orange (or orange/white) wire and a white wire. Here you should connect orange (or orange/white) to the + terminal, and the fully white cable to the - terminal.
