Title: ? about shimming
Post by: i8ball on May 02, 2015, 06:21:28 PM
OK so 1 intake .05 the other is 0.04 but can fit the 0.05 with a tiny bit of pressure so I want to know if I can keep the 0.04 in there for a little longer or if I should change it out now
I understand if I change it now I won't have to later but I can't get shims for another 3 days and need my bike if I can now to get around.

If your talking only about INTAKE valves...anything within spec is fine...no need to change

.04 and .05 is Ok...if you go the next size shim you're gonna get   .09 and  .10   too big!

If it was EXHAUST....many would say .04 is too tight...and .05 is kind of tight....probably better to go to next shim
