Title: Coupla bits for a '97
Post by: Joolstacho on May 03, 2015, 01:35:03 AM
NO big deal here. Been lucky enough to find a dirt-cheap '97 E which just needs a little TLC. (That I can do).
(My theory is the PO thought he'd need a very costly ignition black box, when in fact the prob was simply a severed ignition wire, broken by the lock-stop).
Now starts and runs like a beauty, quiet, no smoke, yummy.

It does need a nice straight headlight rim, and an indicator lens (that appears to be all so far... can't believe my luck, ain't I a lucky bugger!)

Surely!!! no-one's got a spare headlight rim? in spite of all those spoofy caff and bobber conversions with coooool sexy aftermarket headlights being done!

no headlight here. But i have a spare turn signal lens. Or did you mean one of the lenses on the dash?

Cheers Slack, yes it's the actual amber indicator lens (on the rubber stalk) not the one on the dash - trouble is the cost getting it from you to me (Australia).
They changed the shape of it a few times, the '97 is a Tokaidenso 35601-70.
I should probably try a local Suzi dealer first before putting anyone to any trouble for a little item like this!
Mind you the headlamp rim will possibly be much more pricey.
