Title: Doing some carb cleaning, but cant get Air/Fuel mix o-ring!
Post by: Slothra on May 08, 2015, 10:41:09 PM
I've got a rebuild kit for the carbs and I'm trying to clean it all up and swap the o-rings.
When I pull out the Air/Fuel mixture screw i can get the spring to fall out but the washer and o-ring
stay in there.

Is there any method to getting those guys out? I think the hole is too small for an o-ring pick and I'm not
really sure what else to do.

Thanks

If you can't get it with a pick, try using a machine screw.  I used to do that with paintball guns with tricky o-rings.  Thread it into the o-ring, pull o-ring out, unthread o-ring off screw.  As long as you have a fine thread screw that's just the right size it won't even damage the o-ring.
