Hey guys, first post here. I bought a '92 gs500 a few months ago, and have been getting poor fuel economy since I got it (35-40 mpg). I adjusted the fuel air mixture, the idle, and the way I rode and still nothing. Today I put it on prime and noticed there was fuel leaking. From what I can tell, it is leaking from either side of the fuel inlet, where the inlet makes a "T" and goes into the carbs. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows a solution (new gaskets? Float height?). Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
If you leave it on prime, fuel is constantly flowing and if it's not getting eaten by the motor, it's gotta go somewhere. Prime is only for starting the bike when it's sat and needs some fuel flow. Throw it back on "on". Especially if it's only leaking on prime.

Actually, if the needle valves are working correctly they will stop the flow, it's not a gas has got to go somewhere situation by any means
EDIT: But yes, if you don't need to "prime" it, don't use prime
It would seem it is leaking on "on"as well, much more slowly when not running, but at a similar rate while idling.
