So i've been working towards getting my gs500 on the road and when i went to bleed the brakes i noticed that the little metal peice that puts pressure on the brake is depressed and my lever doesnt reach it, how do i fix this and will it happen again?
thanks!
FIX: sprayed silicone all over inside and out of master cylinder then used a screwdriver (bad) and hammer (bad) and tapped the back of the cylinder till it popped out. then sprayed more lube then pushed it in and out getting it stuck and unstuck over and over till it wasnt sticking when pushed in anymore because the silicone cleaned out the junk, working well now, probably going to buy a rebuilt kit anyway to be safe! :woohoo:

Damn, that looks totally borked. You can bring it to a shop to get rebuilt, or buy a replacement.
Someone else might have better insight.
so is this from old brake fluid? (Fluid hasn't been changed in years) and could i just try pulling it out with pliers?
