Hey guys what do you think about this filter?

The buy the OEM filter here in Australia is $50 so this would be a much cheaper option but just wanted to know what you guy think before I get it?
The price seems fine,it's just that i prefer the OEM with my Yoshi so the mixture remains consistant.
I bought this on fleabay so good buys are out there.

Don't get it.
It doesn't flow as well as stock.
You actually have to rejet because the stock jets will be too rich with that filter.
YMMV, but I have 1 brand new one, and 1 with less then 500 miles on it. Neither of which will ever be used again.
All stock GS air filters are not the same, my 97 and 02 GSs had different ones. The 02 one has a restrictor band around it that reduces the air flow a bit enriching the mix.

I ran stock air filters all my 180k GS miles changing them at about 30k intervals, a bit longer than Suzuki suggests. On my last change it was late winter and my 02 wouldn't start with choke but did start without it but then needed the choke to keep running. Had one on hand, changed it, and all was good again. A good example of the enriching affect of a dirty air filter.
I bought three of those...have been using them...on the third one now...no negative effects noticed...
The photograph is not what you are going to get...
the photo is of a Suzuki OEM filter...the Hiflo looks crappier...
When my present filter is done...I'm going back to OEM Suzuki....peace of mine....just like the looks and the quality...

so the OEM one is worth the extra $30?
How much is a K&N?
I don't think you need to rejet if you run it with the restrictor cap on. I may be wrong though.
One and Done Son
I've got a k&n with restrictor ring in. . Didn't rejet, but far as I know the bike still has factory jets in? ... normal riding is no noticeable difference.... but if I'm backing down quickly the bike slightly hiccups/mini surge as I pull the clutch. ... didn't do that before...
And I'm probably a bad boy because I've never checked/changed shims either.... or checked plugs for rich/lean. .. 23k kms on it now. .. I'm 3rd owner.... first 2 are unlikely to have changed anything either....
Only reason I put k&n in is it was on sale... 50% off and looked Purty!
It says that this filter can be used as a direct replacement no need to re-jet?
That is simply a judgement call....
As I said...I've been through three of the Hiflo air filters with no ill effects...
If money gets tight...I will use them again...
But I just don't like the weird construction with the metal outer shell full of holes...I like the looks of the OEM...with screen mesh outer shell...
But I can't really justify an extra $30.

OMG!...always learning something new. This may explain the 2k lean misfire I had when I got my 2002. Just checked..I have the 97 air filter.
