Nice vid!
Makes me glad I got all my teeth and a ninth grade education. :icon_rolleyes:
You said it!! That crack to the skull HAD to hurt :o
There's more to the story. I guess those two were flying up and down those roads in excess of 100mph at times and the guy in the truck just had enough.
It doesn't justify the way the guy tried to get the bikes to slow down, especially since he set a perfect example for his kids in the car :icon_rolleyes: , but it's not just a simple case of "driver hates bikers".
The video is plenty entertaining, though, I never would have thought of my helmet as a weapon! It's funny how people will pick physical fights with bikers without realizing we have armored and protected heads, knuckles, elbows, and more. You punch us in the helmet and it might hurt but it won't be that bad, we punch you across the jaw you'll probably end up in the hospital.
Just remember to be safe out there guys :thumb:
:dunno_black:
whoops, double post

Cops have. If you get pulled over leave your helmet on until you ask permission to take it off. If you hop off your bike and immediately take off your helmet and hold it while the cop walks up to you you are starting out on the wrong foot. (They are more worried about it being used as a club, not being head butted)
Great Vid :icon_mrgreen: If the guy has a problem he needs to call the police and report speeding drivers and tell his kids not to play in the 55 mph street!
I think I'm going to watch it again :icon_lol:
... see I would have handled that differently... once the initial confrontation was done then shrug and ride away.... come back late at night and get the buddy to do a rolling turnout past the house. .. once 'Cletus' was out front hollerin etc then I stroll around to where his duck compensating truck was parked, pop the fuel cap and stuff a rag in there, wick the fuel up and light the bastard! .... ala Vinnie Jones/ Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels....
I take it real personal when some wanker tries to run me over!
Burnout not turnout.... bloody spellchecker!

Pfft my helmet and shades come off before they make it to me. Sunglasses, helmets etc are rude to leave on when addressing a cop, you lose the human element. But I don't get off the bike and I don't go fumbling around for my ID and gun permit until after an officer has made visual contact and been informed what I am carrying, where it is located and where my permit and ID are located, and asked how they would like me to proceed. I've never been shot. tazed, maced, clubbed, tackled or mistreated in any manner, and to top it off have walked away from an encounter which should have wound up with some major fines with a verbal warning and a thanks for not being a total richard head.
It helps to have friends in blue. you learn what they are and are not looking for.
The tool in the truck was wrong, don't care what it was the bikes had been doing, and it did appear he was doing well over 100mph at one point from a frame capture of his video the redneck in the truck was guilty of AWDW.
I refuse to wear a helmet mount or chest mount since it let's my gauges be seen in videos. I'm not gonna make it easy for anyone to calculate my speed.
I read they had passed his house a few days before doing an indicated 175 mph.
I agree, If I'm going to be riding quickly, I'm not going to document how quickly.
My helmet mount (top center) doesn't show any gauges.
