Title: Loctite question
Post by: newbie1993 on June 16, 2015, 04:09:53 PM
Do I absolutely NEED to use loctite when changing my clutch cover gasket (#2 on the diagram) because I don't have any and my gasket really needs replacing before I can ride again (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/16/b118fad24f948561cda7414d0c4a0087.jpg)

If you don't have any other transport you could replace the gasket, ride to the store and buy some loctite, ride home and take it apart and redo it.

Why is loctite so necessary? I understand that the shaking from riding could loosen the bolts but isnt that what proper torque specs are for?
