Title: I've got this GS500 and some questions about spares.
Post by: dirty nasty on June 16, 2015, 09:45:14 PM
Howdy. I've purchased recently a 1991(92? I forget)GS500. A bit of searching has lead me to believe this is my bike in this thread.

Anywho, this is as it sits now.

It's going to be used for the track only. Naturally I plan on crashing in the future so I figured I should locate spares early. First question was about the rear sets. They're Woodcrafts and from what I understand are no longer in production. I'm hoping the plates themselves stay intact, but am expecting the pegs to break first. I'm not sure which replacement pegs will fit my rear sets.

Also, anyone know anything about the belly pan on the bike? I'm not sure if I'd replace it if damaged, but I might. It seems the rail is an RS250 tail. No idea about the belly pan.
