Title: Chopping the seat...
Post by: scotty110788 on June 17, 2015, 10:22:07 AM
Hi all, new here, looking to turn into a solo bike with rear chop my 92 gs500e, I'll upload pics when I get a chance but is it possible just to take fabric from seat, use some tools to chop it just behind the locking system then some sort of rotary tool to curve it off before covering with new leather?

Check out his posts. He only has 6 of them. 3 are from his build page, showing the process.

took this pic today i didnt really care how pretty it looked since you dont see any of it when the plastics and seat are on and the bolt sticking up goes into a hole in the bottom of the seat keeping it from going side to side
