Check this out...http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=583&e=1&u=/nm/20040212/od_nm/odd_taiwan_ransom_dc. Poor bugger.
This, however, is not so funny. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=583&e=4&u=/nm/20040212/od_nm/china_motorcycles_dc. Hope our politicians don't catch on to this REALLY DUMB idea! :x
I would be pissed. If I knew i was going to get hit in the leg with 600 g's I would have tried to grab it and haul some major ass.
Banning the main mode of transpo that helps eliminate traffic congestion, less polutants, and less comsumption of fuel. Sounds like someone is getting really greedy on the Public Transpo Board... still, goto wonder, will this include Law enforcement Vehicles to?
:o That scares me, to have motorcycles banned from an entire city...
Not completely banned:
"...when they would be prohibited from some major roads and downtown areas during non-rush hour periods".
Yeah it sucks but then again their crime rate must be pretty bad too. Besides it's not like you can protest anything there without having to resort to standing in front of a tank. We have motorcycle gangs all over here and because we can organize and demonstrate (and i don't mean throw bricks through the windows at GAP) we won't have to worry about that.

A total ban would be in place by January 2007."
umm... so how many cars and how many motorcycles in the city? :?
"The ban must be enforced," it quoted the deputy director-general of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau, Liang Xingxia, as saying, as nearly half the road accidents and half the robberies in the city involved motorcycles.
So the other half of accidents and robberies involved cars and bicycle riders! Let's ban them too! If the traffic in the city is so bad, people buy motorcycles and get into accidents because of the congestion... Shouldn't you be working on the roadway infrastructure and public transportation instead? You can fit probably 4 little motorcycles or mopeds in the space of one car, therefore making the roadway more efficient. Maybe some proper police enforcement is in order, rather than having the cops sit back, take bribes, and harass some poor people with democratic tendencies :P
Oh, by the way... let's say you have equal amounts of cars and motorcycles on the road, and they have an equal amount of probability of crashing into each other. So, with the first being the guy at fault, and the second the victim: car/car. car/MC, MC/car, MC/MC. In this case, 75% of road accidents involved motorcycles!
Quotestill, goto wonder, will this include Law enforcement Vehicles to?
reminds me of this T-shirt my old man has.
When guns are outlawes, only the Feds (and outlaws) will have guns.
also, "gun control, is hitting where you are aiming" :guns: :guns: :guns: :guns:
thats when you sigh, sit back and...
