Title: WTB Handlebar Balancers
Post by: Sarkonix on July 22, 2015, 02:06:36 PM
So when I bought my bike earlier this summer it only came with the left one and it is bent, so I am looking for both sides.
Let me know. Thanks

Have you searched ebay if you want the stock ones? Otherwise there's plenty of aftermarket weighted bar ends. Basically all of them are universal. If you are going cheap, there's plenty on eBay but most fade in the sun.

It's down to preference, but when I bought some cheap bar ends on ebay to improve aesthetics, I hated them. They weighed nothing and seemed to be able to feel the difference quite a lot, steering seemed to feel a lot lighter and seemed to be more vibration. Gotten rid of them now to replace with bar end mirrors, will be putting my fairings back on for winter, will replace with R&G bar end sliders, pricey, but look heavy and pretty :)

an option for vibes at least is to fill bars with BBs. it does work :)

Don't seem to notice it with heavier bar mirrors, or maybe I've just gotten used to it.

Can just imagine taking a spill and sending thousands of bright yellow pellets all across the road!

yellow (plastic?) no. either lead or copper. did that with my first gs. the potential mess concerned me too. bought new grips replaced one side then leaned bike over and filled. then affixed other grip at least a few hundred put in of the .177cal size. usually tho vibes arent a HUGE deal tho.

doing something like that id say not to use bar end anything cause it puts an open hole there.  if a weight or mirror falls out= instant mess

Good point, here in the UK we don't like harmful projectiles, only yellow plastic ;)

Always had one friend with metal BBs... cheating b&%tard...

Baah any projectile is harmful lol. if your aim is good. a backup i was considering was cannibalising a pair of bar ends. ( for that expandable rubber bit which would go inside bar.) and grip over top of it. next gs i get ill go this route.

Very true. Funnily enough, someone ran into the local chip shop where a friend of mine works and tried to steal a fish cake with a gun the other night, everybody crapped themselves and he ran off, got caught by police, who at the time didn't know it was in fact a BB gun... All going downhill over here   Yea that's a good idea actually, like a rubber stopper.
