if you've guys have followed the build thread then you know about this bike.
http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=68105.40 (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=68105.40)

Sadly my wrist and back issues aren't allowing me to ride the bike more than an hour or so... :-(

so i'm stuck with buying another mostly stock GS500 and making a touring bike

While I don't need to sell it i would like to see it go to a real GS enthusiast :icon_idea:

New/custom:
Petal style rotors
CNC Fork brace
sealed AGM battery
master cylinder and clutch perch
Adjustable levers
Clutch cable
choke cable
Racetech fork springs
Katana rear shock upgrade
Clip on handlebars
pirelli diablo rosso II tires with less than 200 miles on them.
Brand new Chain
Custom made sub-frame with hinged battery box
custom made Dual exhaust
aftermarket speedometer
LED tail light with integrated signals
HID headlight with LED turn signals integrated
CNC brake caliper bracket for 6 caliper piston upgrade

Needs:
a paint job (has a few dents in the tank and scratches on the frame)
speedometer cable ( I have one on order should be here soon)
fork oil change and new dust shields (cracked shields but the seals are not leaking)

Oh man. that looks sweet!

i wish i could buy it. I'm in Chicago actually. Just a few blocks from downtown.

My only problem is that i don't have any space for it. I'm already pushing the limits of my parking spot with a single GS and a honda accord. I just can't get myself to put a bike on the mean city streets.

Good luck!

Sadly the pain in my wrists and back are terrible. I can barely ride for more than 30 miles before I have to stop and stretch :-/

You could put the stock handlebars back on? I don't want to see it go! You worked so hard on it!

stock bars would ruin the overall look of the bike...

i would hate to sell it, but at the same time I can't really enjoy it for what it is..  :icon_sad:

i got low balled for $900 because I apparently "f-ed up the subframe"

And so far that was it.. but I got an offer to trade for a BMW F650GS.... was tempted to trade for it.
