I just wanted to thank EVERYONE here for all the help, advice, and knowledge that you all shared with me during my time here at GStwin. I was and still am new to motorcycling and this site has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. It's been a great resource for me. I will pop in from time to time, especially for the knowledgeable links and articles here. I wish I could have two motorcycles, but I sold my beloved GS about a week ago and today I picked up my new ride. See it here http://www.fototime.com/inv/27D7455D56DE4E4 It's a 2002 with 7k miles on it. I really love the color, look, and smooth power of the engine. Not to mention that it sounds great. It's a great compromise of the upright riding position of the GS and a laying down sportbike type ride. I wanted to stay with a naked bike, but this deal was too good to pass up! Anyway, let me know what cha think, comments and advice are welcome. Regards fellow bikers. :)

Next time i'm in NoVA we'll have to ride. I'd love to see how the 600R stacks up to the R6...

I've heard lots of good about the YZF600R. Looks like there's some nice mods... seat, bar-ends, engine case bolts... but still plenty to do with your bike... fender elimator, maybe a cooler lookin' front fender.... i could never get used to those giant front fenders on the 600R.

Sure man. I'm always looking for someone to ride with. Yeah, the bike came with some nice mods. I hear you on the fender, it took some getting used to. It's okay, but I'll be looking for a cooler front fender.

That bike is far from sedate. I have seen guys at the industrial park snap wheelies with them pretty desily. But I do like the comfy seat and pleasant ergos. I suggested Anne get one of those but she wanted the Kawi zx6R instead.

Yeah, I discovered that fact when I rode it for the first time. I was accelerating in either third or fourth and if felt like the bike was going to get away from me. It's definitely fun to ride and the ergos are great! Especially with the Corbin seat it came with. :)
